Josie swam her first butterfly at her meet....she did a FANTASTIC job and I am SO proud of her.

She was in lane 1 - and took 2nd place.  Yay Josie!

Patients

I have never seen any being (human or not) be so patient.  Titan will sit for hours and wait for someone to notice his toy.  

Maybe its just obsessiveness...but I prefer to think of it as patients.  :)

Bad Pic Fix

I was going for an extreme close-up of this seedling that my daughter planted at Girl Scouts.  

This one was so close and yet so very, very far from what I was going for.

New Year, New Obsessions.

For Christmas, Josie got a doll...not a big deal in itself, but this one seems 'different'.   She has SO many dolls that she doesn't play with, that I had all but given up.   I buy her dolls, her Grandmothers buy her dolls, Santa Clause brings her dolls and they all inevitably end up piled in a corner...with no clothes on (I can't for the life of me figure that out).

This year, she got a Lalalopsy doll...the blue one.   I, personally was not at all taken by the doll when she got it...but boy was she.   She LOVES it!   So, now so do I...cause thats what moms do.
Since Christmas her blue doll (I don't honestly know if she has a name or not) has been joined by a pink doll.  

 They spend their nights together and their days with Josie.

Lovin' This Weather!

Generally, my poor bunny, Rabbit (yes, that is his name - thats what happens when you let a 4 year old name his new pet. :D ), is shut up during the winter.   Don't get me wrong, he has a nice cage and gets exercise...but doesn't get to go outside.  

However, this winter has been mild and yesterday, was in the 40's and sunny.   Rabbit enjoyed his time outside in the sun.

Determination!

My daughter had her very first swim meet...she was scared, she was nervous...but she stepped up and did a fantastic job!    I was (and am) so proud of her.

I, on the other hand, found that taking a decent shot of a swim competition is really, really hard.

A Challenge of Sorts...

A friend of mine challenged me (resolved, actually...) to take a bad photo everyday AND to post it, here, for all to see.

I thought that sounded easy enough...bad pictures are easy, right?   Well...yes and no.  I try VERY hard NOT to bad pictures...and I certainly do not want to show them to the world.  
Alas...I have taken her challenge...and am determined to improve my photography skills via bad shots.  :)

So...here is the first one.   I wanted to take the my first pictures of  Titan in the snow...but that little dog is QUICK!

A New Year, A New Start....Right?

So...it would appear as if my procrastination issue is alive and well and that it has been rearing its ugly little head all over this blog.
However...I am determined that I WILL conquer...I WILL prevail.  Well...that was a bit dramatic, but you get the picture.

Now...onto 2012!

This is my little dog Titan...and his favorite new toy.   I don't know exactly where he found it, but he is obsessed by it.   He carries it everywhere, will shake it, then lay it down and just stare at it....funny little dog.
