The kids had a lot of fun checking shells for pearls at the beach...needless to say, they didn't find any pearls...but this one offered some sand...

Remnants

At the Lake shore the other day, I noticed a bunch of these posts sticking out of the water.   I don't know exactly what they are...but am thinking that they are remnants of a dock.

Coming home from a school function tonight, my daughter points up and says "Mom...look at the moon!"
Wow!  She was right, I went straight home, grabbed my camera and promptly drove to where I could get a decent shot.    

I still need some practice and a tripod...but I am liking these.

The Robins Are Back!!

So these pictures would count on my 'bad shot' list...however, I couldn't help sharing them.   I am always happy when I see the first Robin of the year...and this morning was no exception.

This guy was also hanging around by the fence...him, we get to see every once in a while, but not often.

The waves on Lake Michigan were fantastic!!!!    However, I didn't have my good camera...ugh!   What was I thinking???
